Ex-Brazil international Edmilson believes his compatriot Neymar has what it takes to succeed at La Liga giants Barcelona.
Neymar is currently one of the world's hottest prospects after starring for Santos over the past three seasons, and guided them to Copa Libertadores glory last year.
His fine displays at club level have also seen him break into the Brazil national team and he has regularly been linked with a move to some of Europe's biggest clubs.
However, Edmilson, who spent four seasons playing for Barca, firmly believes the 20-year-old has what it takes to succeed at the Nou Camp.
"Neymar would fit in at Barcelona, no doubt," he told Com Radio.
"He has things of both Ronaldino and [Lionel] Messi. To make history, he needs to move to Europe though."
Edmilson, who ended his career with 42 caps for Brazil to his name, also believes AC Milan defender Thiago Silva is good enough to play for the Catalan giants.
"For me, Thiago Silva is the best centre-back in the world," he added.
"If possible, I'd recommend him to join Barcelona."
Edmilson won two La Liga titles and the UEFA Champions League with Barca and was also part of Brazil's 2002 World Cup-winning squad.
