Each week, the Daily Caller picks the dumbest
political statements and ranks them (just for Yahoo! readers) on a scale
of 1 to 5 (5 being the worst). Who do you think said the dumbest thing?

Conservative radio host Rush
Limbaugh isn’t shy about saying, well, much of anything. We get it,
Rush, you hate President Obama. But his latest dig at the leader of the
free world didn’t make much sense. "He's becoming Barack Kardashian. I'll tell you that's what he’s becoming,” Limbaugh said Tuesday on his talk show. “He is becoming the male Kim Kardashian with this stuff, and it's been building. He is [the] celebrity of the United States."
But…of course the President of the United States is famous. He’s the President of the United States! Also, Obama has never shared a shot of himself in a Speedo on Instagram, nor has he been married to or dated a string of professional athletes. Some on the conservative end of the political spectrum might believe that Obama has not accomplished much during his presidency, but it’s a bit of a stretch to compare him to Kim Kardashian, whose job is actually to do nothing. Just sayin’.

Erstwhile Smith’s crooner Morrissey is best known for his moody/fabulous 80s tunes, but he also apparently has some passionate views about worldwide politics. Last Friday, he told Juice Online that he thinks the British royal family is "the most overpaid and most utterly useless people on the planet.”
And when it came to the American president, Morrissey’s ridicule was less-pointed, and much stranger. He called President Barack Obama “simply a set of teeth, and useless in every other regard."
Not to split hairs, but Obama is more than a set of teeth, seeing as he also has a torso, arms and legs. It’s a fact!

Ah, Rick Perry. The media have missed you so; you made primary season such a delightful experience! The Texas governor was back in the spotlight Thursday at the Texas state Republican convention, where he was booed for stating his support for U.S. Senate candidate Lieutenant Gov. David Dewhurst -- a moderate Republican.
Audience members loudly booed the governor, and responded with prolonged yelling of the word “Cruuuuz” – a nod to Dewhurst’s tea party rival, Ted Cruz.
After the convention, reporters asked Perry about the response from the audience, to which he replied, “I thought they said Dew.” Oh, to be a cell in Rick Perry’s brain. It must be so peaceful in there!
